Eaton Corporation has an opening for a Lead Logistics Analyst. The Lead Logistics Analyst may be based at any U.S. Eaton facility.
Position Overview :
The Lead Logistics Analyst provides direct support and analytical expertise to Logistics procurement events with specific focus on inbound LLP and North America Road freight. The role may also require involvement in global events including Air, Ocean and Parcel. The Lead Logistics Analyst will be responsible to ensure providers meet specific compliance requirements and metrics.
Essential Responsibilities :
In addition to representing Eaton with Third Party administrators and consultants regarding sourcing software, this role participates in and supports negotiations with impact and optimization analysis, including documenting and supporting cost out implementation.
This position directly supports Eaton logistics’ RFQ events by conducting detailed analytics, including analysis of current state versus the market versus tender rates, and provides recommendations based upon analysis.
Conduct RFQ analytics before, during, and after RFQ bid process.
Assume role as Lead Analyst in LTL and FTL negotiations lead by IPO Category Manager.
Manage the operational relationship with any third-party sourcing software or consulting support provider.
Become the Eaton internal expert with any sourcing or optimization software used.
Manage post event cost tracking with specific responsibility to provide monthly business reporting showing any variance to awards.
Act as the key Eaton representative with any third party sourcing software and consultants used to support sourcing events.
Design post event compliance and cost out tracking.
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Logistics or Supply Chain.
MS Office experience.
No relocation offered for this position. Candidates may be based at any U.S. Eaton facility.
Legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in SCM or related field from an accredited institution.
Demonstrated pricing & logistics experience within the freight industry.
Experience with advanced freight sourcing systems, such as Sci Quest.
Analytical experience, including but not limited to, data gathering, data cleansing, data analysis, scenario development, modeling and presentation of results.
Must possess a robust mathematical acumen.
Experience in logistics sourcing, including but not limited to, LTL, Small Package, Expedites- Ground and Air , 3PL services & Freight Forwarding (Ocean and Air Transportation).
Advanced MS Office Excel skills (Macros, Pivot Tables, V look-ups, etc.) .
