Job Description Eaton Corporation has an opening for a Senior Sales Engineer in Guatemala.
Primary responsibility of the incumbent is to manage the assigned Industry base to increase sales in Guatemala local market and provide sales and technical assistance to industries. Develop and implement a sales plan to achieve the goals. Be aware of and responsive to market conditions and competitive activities, and communicate such information to product engineers. Maintain a teaming, cooperative and credible working relationship with other company personnel to assure customer satisfaction.
Prepare and present bids and quotations to customers using company price and delivery guidelines, and use sound business judgment to enhance margins. Support total quality effort by providing timely and accurate information for order entry, elevating quality issues to attention of management, ensure that accurate information flows to and from customers, implement new product programs as needed, collect analyze and utilize market intelligence data on competitive products, customer needs, preferences and buying habits. Provide necessary reports and surveys requested by the management in a timely manner
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in electrical engineering or related field
- Electrical industry business knowledge in the Guatemala local market
- Specific skill requirements include, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and MS Project, AutoCAD and Outlook
- Five years of experience in similar commercial positions
- Possess excellent communications skills in both verbal and written to communicate effectively with Company and Customer. Skills required and bilingual Spanish and advanced knowledge of English language.
OTHER PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Broad knowledge of Electrical products and services.
- Detailed knowledge of Electrical systems and processes to effectively leverage resources to “get things done” for customers.
- Proven ability to develop trust and build long term business relationships with customers and internal to Eaton.
- Broad knowledge of Eaton’s Global capabilities in order to leverage competencies and resources between organizations.
- Desired skills with Bid Manager.
