Job Description Eaton Corporation located in Charlotte, NC has an opening for a Lean Coordinator supporting the Clutch manufacturing facility.
Reporting to the plant manager, the Lean Coordinator will drive implementation of operational excellence through the Eaton Business System using Eaton Business Excellence criteria, including Eaton Lean methodology. This position will also be responsible for driving the implementation of lean manufacturing initiatives and variation reduction to enhance the overall effectiveness of manufacturing operations.
Key functions include:
A. Lead the development and implementation of Lean and Six Sigma strategy and deployment. Tightly integrate the Eaton Business Excellence Assessment (EBEA), Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS), the Eaton Quality System (EQS), and MESH (Management system of Environment, Safety, Security and Health) initiatives into an overall comprehensive site strategy.
B. Provide Lean and Six Sigma training and mentoring to plant employees and Six Sigma belt candidates.
C. Conduct regular internal ELSS assessments and develop tactical plans to improve the operations.
D. Plan and lead manufacturing process improvements, BPI activities, and other Lean initiatives to optimize performance and drive short-term and long-term business improvements while also driving customer satisfaction, cost reduction, and improved working capital performance.
E. Coordinate and drive a structured process to close follow-up actions from assessments and audits.
F. Plan and facilitate achievement of cost savings objectives through various Lean and Six Sigma projects & initiatives.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Masters degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited institution.
• Six Sigma Certification
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Experience using Six Sigma tools and process improvement techniques, including Lean
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• BS/BA in Engineering or Business from an accredited institution required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing process improvement within a manufacturing environment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without Company Sponsorship.
