Job Description Lead Engineer within the Systems Integration team providing leadership and direction for design teams to meet company objectives. Ability to perform multiple projects with respect to design, execution, on-site support, manufacturability, and shipside installation activities. Executes progression of systems design, solution and installation with respect to performance, analysis, producibility, requirement compliance, functionality, maintainability, cost, weight and schedule. Understands, maintains and enforces requirements baseline and subsequent design change. Performs preliminary and detail design reviews, and integration of conveyance product considering structures, engines, and landing gear systems for major OEM's and their Tier-1 partners/suppliers. Adheres to and enforces interface agreements between multifunctional, multi-location design teams; defines and approves system-level and localized change and trade studies in support of program requirements with respect to weight, cost and risk. Responsible for design solutions in conveyance systems installation design and applied products. Enforces and oversees strict process control.

Leads the coordination across multifunctional, multi-location teams to ensure design compliance, robustness to manufacturing capabilities, inspectability and .rate readiness deployment. Oversees the successful completion of qualification of products, certification of design and complete documentation required by customers and air worthiness authorities.

Fundamentals applied include: Communicate and promote Voice of Customer for positive sustained performance. Lead lean and six sigma efforts to reduce risk and increase quality. Participate at sustained leadership levels for Eaton initiatives and policies and drive commonality of best practices. Coordinate training programs and mentorship to develop knowledge depth and team competencies.
Develops engineered solutions for systems integration projects to meet schedule, customer expectations and requirements.
Coordinates, executes and directs activities for project group
Champions producibility, design-for-manufacturing, and production readiness reviews.
Provides technical depth, functional excellence, and project leadership
Communicates and promote Voice of Customer for positive sustained performance
Demonstrates design compliancy to requirements and certification acceptance
Leads lean and six sigma efforts to reduce risk and increase quality.
Promotes, champions and enhances Eaton business initiatives, philosophies, ethics, tools and expectations

Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited institution required.
-Minimum of seven (7) years of aerospace systems design experience
-Must be prequalified to work on defense projects, per the state department ITAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:
-Proven conveyance design experience in providing certified solutions
-Applied knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles
