Job Description Eaton Corporation, Hydraulics Group in Berea, OH is currently searching for a CNC Set-Up/Operator to work 2nd shift (2:30 –11:00 p.m.). This position will report to the 2nd Shift Production Supervisor.

Summary of job duties: The CNC Set-Up Operator must be able to get tools and programs ready for the next setup by using a Zoller presetter, Greco DNC network, and approve parts for first article inspection using a comparator. Capable of operating multiple CNC lathes machines of various makes/models. Must be able to use all common gages and comparator for inspections to print. Physical dexterity for performing all mechanical changes, collets, cutting tools, and loading bars. Understands up-loading/down-loading programs, resolve problems with tooling on machines, edit programs including feeds/speeds and complete all set-ups in quoted times or faster. Be a capable instructor of CNC processes. Every employee is expected to be an aggressive problem solver and generate suggestions for improving the processes. You will be part of the problem solving team. Comfortable with improvement change and open to growth opportunities. Be able to work with the CNC Engineers to reduce setup times, optimize programs, redline documents, and suggest tooling upgrades and selections. Has experience in, or willing to learn Lean manufacturing and cellular manufacturing.

Position Criteria
-Able to gage, use comparator, and inspect parts for conformance to print
-Inspect parts to print and conduct 1st article sign-off
-Maintenance of related production and inspection documents
-Read prints, machine layouts, and problem solving documents
-Maintain records and reports
-Ability to work with minimal supervision
-Continuous improvement of all processes: Problem-solve and close issues
-Set up and operate CNC equipment with good lean organizational skills
-Very strong problem solving

Preferred Qualifications
-Trade school a plus
-Prior experience manufacturing in a Lean environment
-Shop Math and Computer Skills
-Program editing and setting offsets

Physical Demands
-This position requires moving moderate weight (up to 50 lbs.) by bending, stooping or reaching on a daily basis.
-Work environment is concrete shop floor
-Personal protective equipment will be provided, with the exception of steel toed shoes/boots which must be purchased by employee, and is required at all times on factory floor.
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) Basic Qualifications:
-Minimum 5 years CNC set-up experience and knowledge of CNC tools
-Accredite High School diploma or GED program
-Speak, read, and write English
-Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
-No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the greater Cleveland, OH area will be considered for this position
