Job Description Eaton Corporation in Beltsville, MD has three (3) openings for a Manufacturing Associate III: Ducting Fitter on 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Essential Functions:
- Ducting fitter will cut, deburr, and clean parts to tight tolerances in preparation for welding.
- Prepare work orders.
- Ensure calibration of fixtures.
- Transport work to various areas
of the shop.
- Perform some mechanical assembly, operate equipment and does some milling.
- Must be able to read and
comprehend specifications,
engineering drawings and
manufacturing routings.
- Must have good math skills.
- Work in accordance with general safety rules and practices.
- Keep immediate work area clean and free of hazards.
- Fitter will be responsible for finished parts conformity to drawings and specification.
- Participate in continuous improvement of processes.
- Peform other related duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMAND: Occasionally, exerting over 50 pounds of force. Frequent walking with the rest of
the time spent standing.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Typical machine shop with exposure to oil, dirt and heat. Ability to work
overtime as required. Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (includes safety glasses).
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) Basic Qualifications:
- Requires high school diploma or equivalent plus advanced shop math and use of precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read blueprints and detailed written instructions.
- Ability to interact and participate in a team driven culture.
- Minimum five to seven years manufacturing experience. - Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate Beltsville area (50 miles) will be considered for this position.
Preferred Criteria:
- CNC/Lathe experience desirable, but not required.
