Job Description As Sales Engineer, you will apply industry and systems knowledge to promote and gain acceptance of Eaton’s products and solution within the nominated customer base. You will act as a consultant to the customer’s business and leverage internal resources to provide best application of technology to improve business.

Essential functions:
• Account Relationship Management –Responsible for building and maintaining the relationship with the assigned customer base, being the conduit of information, including product updates, price movements, technical updates and required reporting in line with company requirements and guidelines.
• Business Development – Utilise the appropriate sales channel to attract new customers and increase demand for Eaton products.
• By using the consultative sales process provide solutions to customers based on their business needs and your specialized product/market knowledge. .
• Strategically evaluate customers for adjacent product line opportunities.
• liaising closely with customers and internal functions to ensure a consistent and positive customer experience.
• preparing, reporting and presenting market and competitor activity to the organisation.
• assisting with day to day price enquiries and quoting in line with approved price structures.
• facilitate any large special bid requests by utilising all resources available while ensuring company approval.
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) • Tertiary Qualification preferred, with 5 plus years of related technical sales experience.
• Familiar with Sales Principles (Value Pricing, Business Intelligence, Value Selling, etc.).
• Previous Sales experience required (or experience on internal sales/customer service functions within Eaton)
• Proficient in MS Office PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
• Prior experience in Australian Electrical Industry, Power Distribution &amp; Power Quality preferred.

Job Description Reports to the General Manager, and is responsible for the location Sales and Technical activities, including Sales, product and pricing strategy, direct and distributor sales, Hydraulic  Centers’ Inventory and customer Service Management, forecasting, customer training and support.

Main objectives:

Ensure maximum practical and profitable penetration of Eaton’s product line.

1. Plan, organize, develop and administer the sales function for the division, including directing through subordinate supervision, the activities of assigned personnel in such areas as sales, forecasting, market research and analysis, TSG, advertising and sales promotion, etc. Train, counsel and motivate personnel.  Assign accountabilities, responsibilities, and specific tasks, and review accomplishment thereof.

2. Develop sales plans for new products, review new product programs, administer and monitor phase out programs, and administer pricing programs and strategies that include action necessary to assure acceptable divisional contribution margins.

3. Establish sales forecasts in consultation with superior and other members of sales management, considering Corporate and Division goals, market research studies, field sales reports, pricing strategies and industry trends.

4. Plan and administer short and long range sales programs. Guide the organization and development of supporting plans and devices, including the advertising campaigns, customer surveys, training programs, sales aids, promotional materials, specific selling techniques, and the like.

5. Handle or closely supervise sales efforts with major accounts as required.
Oversee sales activities, including reviewing and recommending selection of new distributors.

1. Resolve major problems with distributors. Represent facility sales negotiations involving government and international sales contracts.

2. Provide planning, organization and/or liaison to satisfy market needs for after sales service; including field servicing, training of distributor service organizations and service publications.

Broaden the sales base and promote new products compatible with Company plans by organizing the means for identifying, quantifying, and pursuing optimum profitable opportunities for product and market development programs.

Develop departmental budgets, review performance thereto, and initiate appropriate action to correct unsatisfactory performance.

Through subordinates, establish, develop, maintain and an effective, well trained and adequately resourced EFP Centre structure, capable of implementing company strategies and objectives and maximizing all business opportunities

Through subordinates, maintain an effective and highly responsive TSG function focused on delivering competitive and technically sound systems design, high quality and on time delivery of fabricated units and superior technical support to internal and external customers.
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) Formal engineering or business administration academic background. Extensive knowledge of general business practices, Company sales policies and procedures, division and company products and personnel motivation concepts and techniques.

Minimum of five years sales management experience.

Human relations skills and administrative ability to work effectively with customer personnel as well as clerical and direct sales staff.

Job Description PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The District Service Manager will direct and coordinate the activities of this field service operations center toward achieving sales, profit, and growth goals while continually improving quality and customer service levels. The District Manager is responsible for providing local market knowledge to the strategic planning process and applying this information to local sales management responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Develop a forwarding looking profit plan and provide monthly forecasts with accuracy so that the district financial commitments are met on a monthly basis. Oversee procurement, efficient execution, cost control, leveraging subcontractors, inventory management, managing receivables and turn of backlog and projects.

• Assure an effective and skilled staff through recruiting, assessment of talent, training &amp; development, goal setting, communications, performance appraisal, and conformance to applicable company policies and standards. Provide leadership and direction to ensure professional growth for employees and retention within the district.

• Assure the safety of employees who work in low, medium, and high voltage work environments. Assure strict compliance with safety policies, deploy safety programs, assure safety equipment resources are available and properly tested, provide direction for proper disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials

• Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with sales teams and channel partners within the district, supporting the selling process such that orders and sales objectives are met. Stay current with market trends and drivers in the district to support strategic planning process.

• Effectively manage team of diverse and dispersed field service workforce throughout assigned district. Demonstrate good corporate citizenship. Assure the security and effective allocation of company resources and assets.

This position may be based in any of Eaton's offices in Australia.
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) • Bachelor’s degree, major in engineering
• At least 10 to 15 years of overall work experience, with 5+ years related experience in power distribution services
• Knowledge of low voltage, medium voltage products and systems as well as control and electrical design
• Takes initiative and instills confidence in peers and sales personnel
• Strong organization and project management skills
• Excellent customer service skills and high expectations for performance
• Able to work under pressure
