The System Test Engineer role is responsible to test both prototype and production hardware and software for existing and new products. The incumbent will study the specifications and examine the software to determine what data is needed and identify the actual test methods, materials, fixtures and equipment required. The incumbent will be ultimately responsible for all engineering details associated with the testing performed at this facility and others as needed to fulfill customer obligations while maintaining the highest levels of safety.
Test industry leading lighting systems
Experience with test equipment, procedures and customer specifications.
Coordinate the execution of test request and procedures for New Product Development (NPD) and production. Estimate time and resources required to accomplish engineering projects and commit to delivery dates.
Develop automated tests using Robot, Selenium, UFT OR LabVIEW
Experience in writing test scripts to support automated test
Monitor testing and analyze data to assure compliance to the established requirements. Review and approve test reports.
Maintain a safe working environment by providing adequate precautions to tests in process. Design safety into every test and activity. Safety / 5S+ champion.
Perform System testing as required.
Improves existing testing systems and processes.
Actively pursues changes to improve quality, performance, cost reduction, and standardization through analysis of designs and problem solving techniques. Suggests alternative methodologies or techniques to achieving desired results.
Understands the engineering methodologies within the division as well as other departments and their relationship to engineering. Participates in providing the creation, implementation and administration of departmental work instructions in order to build and promote a team environment for product introduction, development and support activities.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited institution is required.
Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.

2 years of HW/SW test experience
1 year of test automation experience
Working knowledge of Web applications, Mobile applications and Embedded Firmware
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot equipment and implement repairs
Experience in writing test scripts and other forms of test automation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well in team environments
Demonstrated commitment to meet customer requirements
