Job Description Eatpn Corporation located in Asheville, NC has an opening for a Lead Product Applications Engineer for the Low Voltage Assemblies product line.

The Lead Product Applications Engineer is responsible for accurately interpreting purchaser specifications and translating them into drawings and bills-of-material understandable by Manufacturing and Purchasing. The essential functions are:
A. Develops a variety of complex drawings and bills-of-material based upon established product designs, which provides sufficient detail to accurately convey the purchaser’s equipment application.
B. Consults with plant and field sales engineers in interpreting and defining new equipment applications.
C. Coordinates mechanical and electrical interfaces with other products.
D. Advises C.O.D., Manufacturing and Purchasing – when required – in interpreting information for the accurate production of equipment in accordance with the purchaser’s requirements.
E. Consults with the Quality Department in resolving issues after the equipment is shipped, when required.
F. Directs purchaser visits to approve or release equipment.
G. Conducts special development/application projects of a complex nature.
H. Informs in cost and cycle time improvement activities.
I. Plans travel as required to support any of the above.
J. Conducts technical training seminars, as required.
K. Provides technical training and guidance to department personnel.
L. Analyzes needs and recommends revisions to Department Policies and Procedures.
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) - BSEE OR BSEET degree from an accredited institution is required.

- Minimum five years experience in manufacturing required.

- Must be legally able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

- Power distribution and control systems knowledge required.

Position Criteria:
- Knowledge of Electrical Engineering.
- Established design standards knowledge.
- Excellent computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, AutoCad
