Job Description Eaton Filtration is a leading company in the field of industrial filtration for many different applications, with production, sales and services throughout the world.
We have a vacancy for a Sales Manager for the EMEA Region (male/female) based in the Altlussheim, Germany.
This position will report directly to the Business Unit Manager Filtration EMEA and serve as a key member of the Filtration EMEA Management Team. The Sales Manager will be responsible for the sales of the Internormen products and applications in defined branches and countries.
The role of the Sales Manager is to proactively and systematically develop new direct & indirect business as a contributor while also to develop, manage, mentor the sales representatives (Field Sales & Inside Sales). This is a critical position for a sales professional ideally with experience in the filtration industry.
Essential functions:
A. Consultancy and sale of Internormen products, solutions and services
B. Manage the Regional Sales Budget and reach revenue targets
C. Developing the sales through the acquisition of new customers and dealer/distributor support
D. Defining and implementing new sales strategies, business and market opportunities; develop selling concepts and identify areas of improvement in the products and processes, assist in creating and implementing solutions
E. Work with all sales personnel and outside contacts to satisfy clients and achieve company goals
F. Technical and commercial support and negotiation with selected customers
G. Linking acquired projects with appropriate internal and external responsible contacts
H. Market observation and investigation, keep up to date on market trends and new products, identify and investigate growth opportunities for the company
I. Reporting of turnover, market situation, projects and customer visits
J. Instruct, train, mentor and manage direct reports and other inside sales resources as assigned
K. Provide guidance and constructive feedback to the Direct & Indirect sales team and improve overall direct & Indirect sales department performance
L. Represent Eaton Filtration in a positive and professional manner inside and outside of Eaton
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) Basic Qualifications:
• Mechanical, process, chemical or industrial engineering graduate degree or related technical disciplines
• At least 5 years experience in sales management in multi-national companies of industrial products like valves, pumps, filter, apparatus and equipment engineering/construction or generation station technology
• Understanding of product specifications and production processes
• Must know the technical rules and standards in the Filtration business of industrial customers
• Project Management knowledge (ideally ProLaunch)
• Strong Business Acumen and ability to work self dependent
• Must be able to work strategically and have analytical skills
• Strong business work ethic, can operate within proper guidelines
• Must have strong customer and service orientation
• Positive attitude and professional behavior required
• Must have strong motivation and hands-on mentality
• Exceptional communication skills, presentation, negotiation and management skills
• Ability to influence decision making of key stakeholders
• Must demonstrate competence in management, networking, target marketing to specific prospects, and have advanced selling skills, along with the ability to mentor a team to those same disciplines.
• Proven people skills with effective experience in training, managing, mentoring and evaluating field and inside sales employees.
• Advanced MS Office skills experience in the use of ERP software
• Very good command of Business English is mandatory, fluent in German
• This international function requires willingness to travel frequently
